Football and food...not at the same time though!

This week I decided to blog about something other than baking so I didn’t bore you all (and because I didn’t bake anything either…ssshhh), so this week I’m talking football and food!

As some of you probably know already I play football and I am a huge football fan. Not only has it kept me in relatively good shape over the years, gifted me with so many amazing teammates/friends but it is the reason I was able to live my dream of attending university in America. Over my many years of playing I have gone through a vast number of boots and although I have been racking my memory like mad, I cannot remember what my first pair of boots were…how lame! I do remember though, that I have had multiple pairs of Adidas Predators, the pre 2009 versions and these are definitely some of my favourite boots of all time. After 2009 they changed way too much though and to me they were no longer Predators. Since then I have been trying to fill the ‘Predator void’ with a number of different brands of boots but none have lived up to the awesomeness of Predators…until now! A few months ago a came across a new style of boots from Adidas called Gloros. After reading a couple of reviews from people who were saying that these boots were the closest thing to the old style predators, I couldn’t resist buying them. These boots are definitely my new fav! They are super comfortable, look awesome and have the famous tongue that the Predators had…from now on, Gloros will be the only pair I wear. I even managed to get some free personalisation on these bad boys!

The next thing that I wanted to blog about was my first proper trip to Five Guys. This is an American restaurant who are known for their simple but pretty darn awesome menu of Burgers, Hot Dogs, Fries and Milkshakes. I did experience this when I was in America once but it was after a long 16 hour car journey so to be quite honest, I don’t really remember too much about it. My friend wanted to go here for her birthday so a few of us went and tried it out on Friday. Wow, were we impressed! Like I said the menu is pretty standard but what makes it great is that all toppings on each item are completely free which is why I got a milkshake jammed packed with salted caramel pieces, coffee syrup and Oreo chunks and my goodness was it good! Below is a photo of my friend’s cheeseburger (as yet again I forgot to take a photo of my food ahhh).

Hope you enjoyed this week’s blog, don’t forget to subscribe if you haven’t already and spread the word to your friends!
