A wonderful weekend!

I first want to give my condolences for Paris after the horror that happened Friday, my thoughts go out to all affected.

This weekend was one I had been looking forward to for a while, not only was my step-brother up from Bournemouth but I was seeing the great David Beckham back at Old Trafford. David Beckham has been doing a lot of work for the children’s charity UNICEF, so he decided to ask some football legends to play alongside him in a one-off game. Don’t worry if you aren’t up to speed on your footballer knowledge though as most of these players are known by everyone. One team was made up of players from Great Britain & Ireland and consisted of Paul Scholes, David Seaman, John Terry, Ryan Giggs, Michael Owen & of course David Beckham. Their opponents for the match were all from the rest of the world and some of their players were Ronaldinho, Luis Figo, Robert Pires & one of my favourites Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Although the weather was typical Manchester weather with the rain pouring down, once we got in our seats nothing was going to ruin the day. The match was brilliant, and when David Beckham was replaced by his eldest son Brooklyn after 70 minutes, the crowd erupted. David even came back on towards the end and was able to play with his son at the glorious Theatre of Dreams. The score ended up as 3-1 to the Great Britain & Ireland team…wahoo! Next up I wanted to talk about one of the most popular bars in Manchester at the moment, Albert Schloss. It hasn’t been open long but it already seems to be the place to go. We went here for the evening because my friend had a VIP area booked for her birthday which meant no queuing to get in and table service…woo!! They also had a live band there who would go on stage and sing a few songs throughout the evening, which was brilliant. I have been to Albert Schloss twice now and both times the atmosphere has been absolutely fantastic, I would definitely recommend it for a night out. Oh and the best part, they have a FREE photo booth for anyone to use! Check out our awesome photos below and the website here.
