Busy Bee

Wow it has been a crazy few days since I landed in the US. Settling in to the new place, celebrating the husband's MBA graduation and catching up with friends...it's been non-stop but so much fun! With all these craziness though, I haven't had much time to try many new things (boo I know), however I did try the coolest (literally) thing ever today.

After getting a bite to eat with the besties,

we hit up this place called Tropical Liqueurs and all that's on the menu are slushies. Sounds boring until I tell you that all the slushes contain alcohol and are delicious tasting cocktail slushies! I think they did have a couple draft beers available but the main attraction to this bar are the slushies! I was stumped at which flavour to try but luckily they allow you to taste them before you buy...awesome! I tried Brain Freeze as it had Tequila in it, which is one of my favs, and the decision was made (or so I thought). I then discovered you can have more than one flavour per cup...ahhhh too many choices! I decided to stick with the Tequila and went with one half Strawberry Margarita to accompany the other half of Brain Freeze. Oh my, it was delicious!!! The only downside I guess was that you aren't allowed to take the drinks to-go, therefore when it was time to leave I had to drink the rest super fast which gave me a huge brain freeze (ironic hey?). I mean it does make sense that you can't take it to-go as you can't do this in any other bar but the slushie cups kinda make it feel like you should be allowed to take them away with you.

I would definitely recommend trying a bar like this if you ever locate one, perfect for the summer and such a cool quirky idea!

Like I said, this is just a short one this week but next week's will be jam packed of new stuff that I have been trying/going to try! Please let me know if you have anything you want me to try as I have some spare time while I am over here in the US. I will be happy to give them a go as long as they are available out here :)
