There's a first for everything!

This week has been full of 'firsts' for me! I experienced my first American High School Graduation (yes they do really throw up their hats) when I went to my brother-in-law's graduation this past weekend! While sat waiting for the students to enter the room, I saw something pretty awesome on the wall that made me very proud. I haven't mentioned much about my husband (shame on me I know) but one thing that I will say is that he used to be an absolute stud at wrestling! As we only met a few years ago, I only know this from stories and photos but I witnessed definitely proof while sat in his high school gym...his banner on the wall! In the U.K. high school sports aren't that big, you only really get noticed when you play for a club however it's very different here in the U.S. High school is where most athletes excel and eventually lead them to a college scholarship so when a high school has a stud, they show that off!

Each high school will hang a banner recognising when one of their students wins a State Championship in any sport...pretty cool hey?!

This week I also got to experience the Jersey Boys show live in the theatre which was absolutely amazing! I surprised my husband with tickets to celebrate his graduation so we put on our best clothes and headed into St. Louis on Wednesday evening. We both had never been to the Fabulous Fox Theater before which made the whole night even better. The theatre was spectacular and the show was like nothing I have seen before. Obviously I was not able to take any photos or videos of the show itself, as this is not permitted however I took a photo of the stage before the show began.

If you haven't heard of the Jersey Boys, it's basically the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons and their rise to fame. The live show has also been made into a movie, directed by Clint Eastwood so I would recommend this, if the live show is not yet in your area!

Finally and what may seem a bit random is my first ever attempt at graffiti. Yes, like i said random, but I've always been quite good at lettering and I love drawing so I thought I'd give it a go. I found a great website which explained a few easy steps at how to get started, but then it's really just freestyling what looks good. There is a reason behind me trying this out, as I am buying the girls I coach a little present for the end of the season and I need to do a little doodling for them let's say. Stay tuned over the next couple weeks to find out exactly what I got them, but for now here is my first attempt at some graffiti. Oh and before you say how cheesy it is that I did my husband's name, it's because it's nice and short and the letters are easy to draw haha!

Well hope you enjoyed this week's blog! It's been another crazy busy week so not much time to try out any new products, but let me know if there are any you want me to review!

Until next time :)
